weird noise from gauge cluster

For the past few months I have had this noise coming from the gauge cluster area. The best way to desribe it would be like the old school speedo cables going out. Kinda of a winding noise and you really here it under hard acceleration or when the motor is winding down from higher RPMs. I have no clue what it could be. It sounds like it is too loud inside the car to be ehaust leaks though.

Any ideas?

Radio Interference? Is your stereo on? As you likely know, there is nothing mechancial about the SN95 gauges (well, there is VERY little mechanics going on in the setup...nothing that could make any appreciable amount of noise), so I have to think it's coming from something else. Have you tried disconnecting then reconnecting your battery (leave it diconn'd about 15 mins in between)? Strange as it may sound, if it's an electrical issue, this may clear it up.

It ended up being a broken hose that is part if the EGR setup. Connects to the little tube off the headers behind the drivers side head. Replaced the hose and took a spin and problem solved!!!!
