Weird Noise

Ok guys I need your help please, This weekend when coming back home after evacuating because of hurricane rita I heard a weird noise coming from my engine. The noise sounded like I had a few ping pong balls bouncing around in my engine. My car is stock except for welded in flows. What could it be? -Thanks guys in advance.

Well, I know crappy gas can cause engine pinging.

Also, I know you said your car is stock, but have you advanced your timing with a programmer like the diablosport predator?

have you checked your oil? low oil can produce a valve tap. it could also be that since there was such a shortage of gas, some companies could of watered down there gas.
