Weird Sound coming from beneath the hood.

Well its coming from the driver side close to the firewall where the ac lines are. i guess those are the ac lines b/c they get cold and have condensation. well anyway it sounds like a short ....pssssp. and when it does, the rpm's dip for a split second, barely noticable. you can barely see the tach needle move , but you can also feel it. but as i said, barely.

any ideas whats the deal, major or minor problem?

I assume this happens when the A/C is on? I have a similar noise and had a hard time finding where it was coming from. For my car it was the compressor clutch engaging and disengaging about every 15 seconds or so. but since the compressor is near the bottom of the engine it was hard to pinpoint exactly where the sound was coming from. Just a thought.

yeh its when the ac is on....its nothing bad is it?

To be honest I rarely use my A/C but I do occasionally use it and everything works fine. I don't think it's anything serious.
