weird thing happening

i let the car warm up for about 1 min or 2 and i take off, just a normal drive on the street and when i pin it at about 3000 rpms feels like a governor kicked in, wont go past it, but after about 5 mins i drove it again and it was just fine. any ideas????

This is on a carburEFI'diesel powered vehicle? Year and mods will help.

If we assume you have EFI, have you pulled codes?

i have a 89 lx with gt40 heads e303 cam explorer intakes and o/r h pipe and summit exhaust. everything else is pretty stock besides the distributor cap and rotor new plugs and wires

alright i did the non running test first and got 81,82,85,84,94 then did a running test and got 21,94,44,33

21 can be from an engine below operating temps.

Do you have any smog equipment on your car?
Specifically, is your EGR system functional?

unhooked the smog, and yes the egr is functional i replaced that before and it took off the code awhile back
