When i take trips on the freeway like 90 miles or more when i get off and accelerate some times it sounds and feels like my throttle body just locks up real quick all of the sudden. Does anyone know or have any clue of what this could be?
The cause of your problem is a dodgy stock fuel pump. It causes air to form in the fuel during long highway trips, which results in the engine hesitating when the vehicle is initially accelerated after exiting the highway. Replacing the fuel pump is the only solution.
I am having the same issue with the 06 GT I bought last summer. As soon as spring hits first upgrade is the fuel pump. There is a TSB for this problem. Too bad the original owner did not catch it under warranty. It is a pricy part.
