weird timing

Anyone ever notice while datalogging, that at light part throttle the spark timing jumps to almost max? You can hold it at 38* - 44* and it doesn't accelerate. Any more or less throttle pressure and it jumps back down. Seems like a funny spike to me. Anyone know why that is?
