I was leaving base and the speed limit there goes from 15 to 65 so of course I gun it. Well when I let off the gas my car didn't. I start accelerating pass 75. So I hit the brake to 50. The car then slowly worked it way back up. The tac said the engine was about 1900-2000. So I thought the cruise control was messing up so I tried setting it and turning it off. I even tried to reach down and pull my gas pedal up nothing was working. It just seemed like my throtle was stuck a 2 grand. So I was just braking and letting it pick back up speed hoping it would fix itself. (By the way I was really freaked cause today was the first time I cleaned my MAF. And I thought I jacked it up.) So away way my buddy who is alot more mechnicaly inclinde than I lives right off this road. So I go into town with my car screaming. I down shifted into second and rode the hell out of my brakes. I made it to his house with only breaking the tire loose on the turns cause I could not brake hard enough. Trough the car in neutral and shut it off as fast as I could. Well he came out and took a look at it. The problem was when I gun it my throtle cable grabed a spark plug wire that held it at 2 grand. Was a great relief. Man I thought for sure something was jacked up.
PS the whole time I was driving the wife was yelling at me, " We can't afford to fix this. We just spent 600 hundred on exhuast. Ect....." You know how wifes are.
