Weld in subframes, local place/person?

i have a set of full length maximum motorsports subframe connectors i need to have welded in. i live in lacey, is there anywhere or anyone fairly local that could do a good job?

i dont want to take it to a halfass shop, i know of one who will do it locally but ive heard some misleading things about their quality.

thanks for any suggestions

I bought a set of kenne brown standard subframe connectors and welded them in myself. I understand, not everyone has a welder to do that though. Its a fairly easy project, i hate being under the car though. If i had more experience doing them, i'd offer to do yours. Mine went on with no problems and im sure aren't gonna be breaking off lol, they're welded pretty good. But I dont know if im ready to be weldin on somebody elses car who i've never met.

Check with them. They have done tons of sub installs.

Lakeview Autobody did a great job on mine. I posted on another string a minute ago this same information. Body shops straighten and repair frames. You have a unibody car, the work you are describing is right up thier area of expertise. Having said that, there are incompetent shops everywhere. Either take it to a performance shop that's done them before or to a good bodyshop.

well, the MM full lenght are tricky I hear. I got a set I'm waiting to weld in. I guess you can bend them to fit the cars body better and use the plates supplied to strengthen the bent areas. when I read that in the directions it made me a bit uneasy, so I'm just gonna take em to brad's they've been good to me so far so why not, the are also MM dealers

any chance you can fab(bend) a few pipes?

also what's the chance of you making a cat-less or cat+ downpipe for a focus?

step 2 (maximum motorsports) place the passenger's side subframe connector into position. The connectors fit specific sides. the locating tab at the very front is placed on the outside of the front subframe. check how closely the connector fits to the underside of the front subframe. due to ford production tolerances in stamping the floorpan, there may be a gap between the connector and the front subframe. prior to installation, the connectors can be straightened or bent more before the reinforcing plate is welded across the front bend. if the gap is at the rearward end of the front subframe, you can bend the connector a little more at the front. you can use a block of wood on a jakc to press upwards on the connector to bend it more and close the gap.... etc.

thanks for the local suggestions. i dont think it will be happening anytime soon though. found out my blocks cracked and building another new motor currently.
