Weld Wheels?

what size backspacing looks best with Weld prostars on an SN95? Also, what size spacers should I run in the front? I think I'm gonna run 15x8 in the rear and 15x3.5 in the front? Its also mostly track, just occational street.

15 x 3.5 with 7/16 spacer up front.

with a 3.5" front isn't that kinda not very good at all for handling and street use... or does everybody just use them specifically for drag purposes

I'm running 3/4" spacers on the front with my 15x3.5's, but I'm not crazy about em. I installed longer studs, but I think I'm going to do a little grinding, so I can install thinner 7/16" spacers. I only used the thicker spacers so I wouldn't have to grind the caliper side bars, but oh well. Wanna run skinnies, gotta do it.

I wouldnt use 8's in the back. I'd use an 10inch wheel. They look killer!

I put 13K on my car in this summer alone and took a trip to the beach.

thats really interesting, how's your handling? oh and do they by any chance come chrome or only polished?

handling? your putting a 165 tire on the front with a 8 pound wheel, what do you expect?

my car isnt for autocrossing and i have no need to take turnarounds at 60.

i do still take them at 25

I will say this. welds with the sway bar on handles better than the ponies with 255s and the sway bar off

but I would never push this wheel in the turn. you will understand once you hold one.

Oh and why the heck would you want chrome?

you can get a cheap knockoff in chrome but that defeats the purpose of getting the lite wheel

cuz i don't want to have to polish it all the time. besides chrome plating wouldn't make it but a few pounds heavier. I thought the reason people got skinnies is because they were skinny and had less width than stockers/9"s therefore less traction and friction in the front: coupled with a large weight reduction.

someone tell me if i'm wrong but isn't the difference btwn polished wheels and chrome is that the chromes are plated and the polished are polished but still start out as the same base wheel?

I'd recomend a 5 or 6" wheel up front if you are going to drive A LOT and want the car to handle decent still.
