I decided to do a little changing on the blower today, put the 14# pulley on and see what happens . Ummm........ya...... THIS THING IS RIDICULOUS! The car was only running 6#'s of boost on the 9# pulley so i thought I might see 11#'s on the 14 pulley which shouldn't cause any detonation. All I saw was 10#'s but it is very very fast. I'm guessing in the neighbourhood of 450rwhp but that's just the ass-o-meter. I think it's possible since I was at 370 with only 6#'s. There are no first or second gears anymore. They both just go up in tire smoke. Third gear is now a handful when shifting at 5500rpm, she walks pretty good. All in all a very interesting experiment, needless to say there are no other pulleys for this car anymore unless i can get smaller ones from KB . That 9#'er will never see use again . I'll see if I can get a vid that you can actually see something on. The car sounds like an 03-04 Cobra now, has a real nice blower whine.

You need some Control Arms ASAP before you wreck that thing. Must be fun.

I'll see if I can get a vid tomorrow. I need an unsuspecting bastard to take a ride with me though to film . I definitely need suspension mods now, car doesn't hook at all.

All in time man. It took me a while to get the car where it is today, that's half the fun and you appreciate it more. You'll get there.

WOW, sounds like its a beats .

But please tell me something...tell me you didnt pully up 4PSI and didnt have it retuned????? Or even worse didnt even put it on a dyno to test it .

I know that doing something like that wouldnt even cross my mind...so I doubt thats what you did. That would be a HUGE risk.

That's where the experimental part came in . It was either gonna go or go kaboom! It is running so low compression and it was tuned very rich the first time I wasn't too worried, at WOT we were in the 10.5 A/F range. The extra displacement, blower cams, and full free flowing exhaust make the car very boost friendly. The bottom end is forged to so what is the worst that could happen? A little detonation, if I heard that I would have gotten out of it. I'll get it retuned in the next few weeks hopefully. I'm not gonna beat on it too bad but I'm sure gonna drive it .

LOL you must have some balls man!

But remember forged isnt indestructable...if you can HEAR detonation, that could vary well do your engine in....if you can hear it, you are getting ALOT of counts.
But hey, atleast your engine is still in one piece right . Just be careful LOL.

Underdrives would make the blower turn slower, not faster.

TweekedGT, when are you getting your compression issues fixed? When you take it to get retuned?

I am going to start pulling it apart in probably another month. The only thing i think is wrong is an intake manifold leak. i don't honestly think it is that bad anymore just because i raced my buddy at the track with his 03 GT with a KB, full exhaust, ram air, etc.. and i beat him and he was running a full 9#'s of boost with me only running 6. i don't think i have compression issues actually, I've been told by a lot of tuners and engine manufacturers that because i have more displacement, blower cams, free flowing exhaust, I should be seeing less boost but more power, which seems to be happening. There will be less stress on the engine with my setup. I actually have an e-mail in to KB right now asking them why i would see less boost just to confirm what everybody else is saying but they haven't responded yet. I'm gonna take the KB off in September to check the manifold gaskets, valve train, timing, etc. See If I can come up with anything. But for right now I'm gonna run the car and see what happens. I'm using a crap load of octane booster just in case.

well yes that is true about you seeing less PSI - any motor with blower cams, exhaust, running a 9psi pulley will see less boost than a stock GT motor with the same S/C setup, but the built motor will be making more power. I never did get to watch your vs. Z06 video, it kept crashing internet explorer
