I paid a little over after hearing the rumor if you pay a little more it may not make it through the system due to a computer glitch but I guess thats fixed.. So my minor violation on a perfect record for last 6 years or more for driving in the diamond lane is now going to cost me 600 extra a year... l :mad:

Anyone have any cheap insurance suggestions?

$600 for a violation after a clean record...they are ripping you off.

yeah, I am not real happy about this.. Makes me want to ditch my stang EVEN more. I havent filed a claim for insurance since 99 when my old truck got broken into.. so since then lets see how much money I have wasted...

If i was paying 150 a month for the last 6 years thats 10,500 down the drain for nothing.. bastards!

While I sympathize with you on the ticket. You are inccorect on your math.
150x12x6= 10800. Not that 10500 is a lot less.

ticket for driving w/o insurance, assuming you tell the sheriff or whomever you just can't find the paper in the glovebox (no proof of insur ticket) is about $400... you have 90 days from that date to get insur on the car to waive the ticket. even if you didn't have it when you got pulled over. as long as you get it that's all they want. i did it for 2yrs n save thousands $$ but i had a bucket at the time. right now i go w/ vern fonk. just to be street legal, paying about $80 mo-basical libility w/uninsur-age 27-few speeding-accidents-and registered on 89 5.0. best i can get no one else wants me?!! :rlaugh: i would go with a different company. who cares if you been w/them for few years. i was with state farm for 10yrs, then decided to change. got hella cheaper rates as new client with other companies.

Switch your insurance company. Don't you guys know it doesn't pay to be loyal to your insurance company. I switch every few years. If and when my insurance company says, "oh we have to adjust for inflation ,etc. Your rates are going up." I then start making calls to switch out my insurance.

I've had quotes as high as 600 a monh down to 130 a month. Almost all insurance companies let 1 ticket slide. If they dont' switch them out!

Don't sell your car f*** those insurance companies. They scrwe you over on monthly premiums and once you file a claim they fight you til the end of time on what yoru claim is worth. INcluding progressive.

I remember when i had some slight paint damage on my supra a long time ago. They tried to say there is no way in hell my car is worth more than $11,000.

Mitch Greene! The most important name you need to know...

not only did he get my ticket dismissed, he got the cops to take it off their internal records as well... as in... THE COP NEVER EVEN PULLED ME OVER!

You youngsters need to get a lawyer and fight these tickets because you never know when the next one is coming and then no insurance company will touch you. A good lawyer will charge about $300 and can get you off most all the time, best money you will ever spend. Never just accept these tickets, even if it's reduced you are still screwed.

I would'nt say switching car insurance companies every few years is the best thing to do. I've been with State Farm for at least 10 years, and I can't find any insurance company that's cheaper. Not Progressive, Geico, All State, and afew others I can't remember off hand. I pay $548 full coverage every 6 months on my Mach, and for this area, I think that's cheap.
