Sooooo after just about 5-years and almost 100,000km it looks like the Meziere WP346S electric water pump I installed on my '06 F150 is about ready to call it quits. Noticed a bit of a whining noise coming from under the hood a couple of days ago, but I just assumed it was a bearing going bad in one of my electric fans. Started it up today and it was much more audible. Shut the engine off and turned the key over to the run position and I could hear the pump wailing away.

It's worked flawlessly for me for the entire time I had it....and it seems to be failing at just about bang on the life expectancy.

Anyone know if these things are rebuildable, or am I gonna have to shell out $450 for another one? I'd sure like to get away with putting $100 worth of parts (or less) into it and running it another 5-years?

Sorry to hear that. It lasted 5 years though, so that's better than I would suspect it would have done. How are those things wired in? Makes me wonder if I have to have one for the stang now.

If memory serves, I had mine wired directly into the ignition.

Great little set up. Nearly silent and great for picking up a couple of ponys while slightly improving mileage to boot.

Never had a cooling issue with my 5.4L, so the 4.6l in your Stangnet should be no sweat.

Did you find a rebuild kit?

Haven't had a chance to look yet. Gonna see if my local starter/alternator shop can do it.

I think I asked them about this and they are rebuildable. I didn't want to make sure a big investment and get stuck if it died. Call them up and ask their tech if they have a rebuild kit or service.

I see the rebuild kits for LS pumps but I didn't see one for the Ford pumps.
