Dude you have ALLLLLL the parts right there on that wrecked stang.... For a couple hundred bux buy a god damn roller, or 4 banger or SOMETHING like that and swap EVERYTHING..... i know its alot of work, and you just did all of that with this one, but i mean comeon, you have no money, and have a wrecked car.. Find yourself a shell you have a perfect donor.....

Geez....holy chit man. I feel horrible for ya. I dont understand how that could have happened and the declared it no fault. I would definitely be taking that to court.

The only thing that looks bad is that both you and the other kid managed to hit this trailer. Were you two speeding or doing anything else that could reflect badly on either of you? Or was this a clear cut accident? I dont see how this could be no fault....i would be suing somebody.

I like the 4 banger roller idea...but with only a couple hundred bucks in your pocket its not going to happen. You need to just look for something really cheap to get you to work for the winter. Sorry bro...this is horrible!

How is it "not going to happen"???? Someone please explain this to me?? you spend 200+ bucks, get yourself a roller, and take off EVERY part from the wrecked stang, put it on the 200 buck fox u just bought and BINGO your done..

because if you do manage to find a 4 banger roller for under the 220 bucks the kid has to his name...there is no way he's going to put it together for 0 dollars. You think his radiator made it through that accident? I dont....theres a couple bucks just for a junk yard special. Who knows what was damaged beyond use.

220 bucks to his name doesnt mean he needs or even can spend all of that money on a 4 banger roller that doesnt even drive? He has much bigger problems to worry about right now than piecing together a roller.

Umm the rad in the 4 banger would work perfectly fine for temp. purposes I would know cause I've done it before on a modded engine.. 200 bucks and thats all he needs to get himself around.,.. It will take some work, and he will have to look around, but you can find a good clean either roller, or 4banger with a blown motor for that money... Just my .02

BK...first off...that really is too bad, I'm sorry for ya!

Secondly, 200 bucks can get you a 4cyl or a roller in the right area. Here in Michigan, NO..but down south it will happen...there are so many. I was just at Cedar Point Saturday and on the way back I saw two for sale. They were solid 4cyl running driving cars. One was 800 or best...(looks as if it was sitting there forever) The other was 500 or best. You know they would take 200 for them...you should have seen the houses they were parked in front of!!! Scary!! They were right on Route 2 between Toledo and Cedar Point which is what?? 50-80 miles?

Can you fix your car BK?? I mean, no matter how hard it is hit....you can always splice the structure in anywhere you want. I have done some in front of the shock towers and I have down some behind the shock towers. It is like the car was never wrecked. Drill the welds, then Mig them back together. I know this can't happen right now, but if you save some it could.

BTW....BK...your car looked really nice....you might even be able to sell it as a repairable as is. It might bring decent money to the right buyer that knows what he can do with it...

yeah man they WERE!!! my pride and joy is smashed and gone forever now, so is my pride.... when it happened, we both jumped out of the cars to see what the situation was, and the moment I saw the front of my car and relized the 1/4 panel was bent prolly a foot back from the impact, I just started crying, on top of that my neighbor that is the drug cop, callls every sheriff known and tells them we were racing!!! then all the sudden a sheriff yells to me "get over here now, *******!" he handcuffs me and puts me in the back of the car, im trying to limp fast enough to even catch up to him while he is pulling me, tells me im going to jail for all kinds of ****, slams the door on his charger, and walks off!!! I called my dad a while back after it happened and told him to show up because it was getting dirty, he shows up when the other cop is un-handcuffing me, my dad goes ballistic on the fatass cop who arrested me, he imediately starts appologizing, and says he was extremely sorry for what happened, and says he got "mis information" all this is happening, and about over when our big mustang buddy we call BIG jimmy cuz he is huge lol, but he imforms me he owns the truck I just hit, but he wasnt pissed and nothing was going to happen, im like dam right its not!! but I was jarred a little, beat my head on the wheel really hard and have a monster bruise on my face, and my arm dosent want to move but isnt broken or anything, im cut up all over from the glass, my airbag didnt go off, my front tries blew up, my car is totaled, im really pissed I got arrested, and I have a headache.......... so my day has sucked large testicles.........

anyways, were pulling both of the cars to bk's moms house so we can strip them down and part them out, im putting the running gear in my 86gt so ill have something to drive, for the time being, and bk's car, I dont know whats gonna happen.... the adjuster is calling us tomorrow to decide on the verdict, but even if it was his fault (it was) we wont get anything but the insurance will stay the same.... :bang:

time to go get wasted on some heavy **** for along time!!

This story sucks in a lot of ways...

No worries if you don't want to or don't have the time, but care to draw up a little paintshop of what happened. Where the truck and trailer were, how you too were etc? Both cars are real messed up and the fact they appear to have been next to eachother, and both are Mustangs, you guys were doomed with the "street racing" thing from the second you hit the truck. Sucks the way the world works doesn't it, but I am sure you guys will be back at it soon enough.

both sets of stripes are in the same lane, I told that to the cop and he says "oh well good point" douche bag, yeah well be back at it here soon, If I have to ill buy bk a nice roller, it sucks though man, I mean keith has worked on his ALOT this year, and got the thing pretty much transformed, and now this!! OH yeah and luckilly I was listening to my dads conversation with the towing comp, and they said that they would wave the storage fee and towing fee,($170) for the title of MY car, I said they can kiss my ass, I can get more for that for it, with no engine and trans in it, just more **** to go through.....

ok guys and gals. first order of buisness we where NOT street racing. if 5 sherriffs and 4 state patrols all agree we werent then i dont think anyone on here can pass a better judgement. we where just in a misfortunate wreck and thats the end of the story. i appreciate everyones concern especially the ones trying to help out, but lets not turn this thread into an arguement or point fingers and pass blame. it was rulled "NO FAULT".

this was one of those rare occurences when i had on my seat belt thank god because when i hit it was a dead stop. the air bag barely got me. i have never been one to wear my seat belt but from now on its going on. this opened my eyes up ALOT. just stay safe people. and remember all the time and money put into your cars can be taken away in an instant. so be safe.

and get full coverage insurance. :nice:

bk..slow95...if he was making a illegal U-turn and there was a street sign posted with no u turns then there fore it his is fault and you both should fight it...only thing they could get you for bk is uncured flowing distance..

how far behind him where you and haw fast where you going?

Word the wise folks... get full coverage. It doesn't cost that much more and it leaves your insurance company to do the suing instead of you.

unless your 16...my rates are 98 a month for just liabilty on my mustang...that jumpes to 190 a month for full coverage.

all i can say is damn, man! that sucks so bad. Looks pretty bad, lucky you guys are ok! It's my worst fear as i also only have liability. I dont get how that COULDNT be seen as his fault. I'd be fighting this for sure.
