She lost oil pressure tonight, gauge was completely bottomed out. By the time I got her stopped she was knocking pretty good. Attempts to build pressure with the coil unhooked failed. Less than two months ago I just got it running now this ****. I was expecting the clutch to pop but this is in the motor. Oh well. My top end is squared away, I guess I should decide what to do with the bottom end if it is indeed there (which I believe it is) Won't be abel to decide on a 306 or stroker but it's gonna get a compression bump. Oh well, sucks callin your dad to bring the rollback at 11pm. Just thought I'd vent a little. Gd it.

Oh well, I knew it wasn't going to last forever but I didn't know it was going to be this soon. Still got another year of college. I guess I'll tear it apart and see what it needs, put the quad for sale to help fund parts, and if it doesn't bring what I want I'll just save up for the parts myself. Anyone want to buy a 400ex? Lol.

I'll probably take this one apart first and assess the damage. Then I'll see what I need to do. Another stock shortblock is a good idea, didn't think about that. I REALLY want to see what gave up though, because she was overfull with oil I believe when I checked it after it lost pressure, and none leaked out on the ground. We'll see I guess.

that sucks. it's always just one thing after another. that's how my rebuild is going, anyway. i finally got my rings in the other day so i start putting my motor back together, unwrapped my crank from the plastic i wrapped it in only to find huge grooves on a couple of the journals. pretty sweet when i already have standard size clevite bearings. so i can either spend $180ish to get my current crank turned and correct sized bearings, or i can just buy a brand new stock crank for $180ish. either way i'm spending more money i don't have. :notnice:

Thats how the top half of my motor went, one thing after another. All I can say is many cuss words will probably be said over the bottom half lol. I've already got a good start lettin the car have it last night and this morning.

Found the problem. The shaft for the oil pump was toast. Dad touch it with a wire and a chunk of it flopped down in the oil pan so I'm gonna start ordering parts here shortly. I don't think the bottom half of the motor is hurt so I'm going to try a pump and shaft before I proceed. What would be a good choice? Should I do a pan upgrade while I'm there?
