Hey all, just about ready to delve into the depths of my least favorite subject, wiring. Involved is my 1988 GT which is a Saleen Clone that has been converted to mass air(new computer/harness/etc) I have dash wiring issues, underhood wiring issues, and trunk area wiring issues, I guess you could just say I have issues...:) Anyway step one is I need a code reader, I know you can do it with a variety of inexpensive tools but I want something that will read obd1 and odb2(wifes car) and display the codes onscreen. I'd love a snap-on but thats way out of budget. Can you guys recommend a decent tool thats not crazy expensive but isn't dreck either?
thanks!
Matt

Hey I got one at checker for a little under 300 and it works pretty well comes with all the adaptors and everything. I hate reading Obd 1 though cuz its like ( start your car , turn off your car , start your car rev your car, turn you car, ect lol ) oh well if you need the brand let me know maybe they have a website.

Not to say that they don't exist, but rather that I just don't know of them, but I have only ever seen code readers that either read OBD1, OR OBD2, and not both.
