well this sucks, sorta.. cars toast

i knew the car had rust, and i mainly bought it because, hell its a cobra rear end w/ disc, new t5, new motor and everything to boot.. but i didnt know it was this bad.. the driver side strut tower is rusted THROUGH.. its gone. And im not about to replace a strut tower in the car... so it looks like the whole drivetrain and other pieces will be going into a newer notchback body or a GT roller.. shame to, only had 80k miles on it. Oh well.. what would yall swap a fresh strong drivetrain into? I figured a one off 92 notch would sound good to me.

Gotta watch for that strut tower rot. I replaced a whole frame rail and half a strut tower in a buddies car. That thing was the most rotted fox I had ever seen.

Matter of fact, it was bought up there by you and brought down this way.. your car got any rust? As far as the car goes, i'll be getting a good notch back, swapping in black interior into it. .and painting it silver heh

both my stangs are southern california cars with zero rust back on topic if you have sentimental value for the car replace the strut tower other than that i would swap everything into a notch.

What the hell are you talking about. He has a four eye, so I say when he does the complete swap. Find another foureye roller to use, and then swap everything over.

i did before.. but now i dont .. thats what i want though.. silver on black 92 notchback.. it really doesnt have sentimental value.. i bought it from a guy that it had alot and he comes by and just kinda drifts off when he sees it lol.. i'll probably give him a deal on the body.. not sure on the 4 eye car.. i really miss my old aero nose car, and wouldnt mind making me another car just like it..
