well ive just about tried everything.. new plugs, wires, rotor & cap, fuel filter, air filter, and a new balancer. and the car still smokes badly under hard acceleration. its hard to tell but it looks like white smoke? besides the smoke the car seems to be running great! i have no complaints just the smoke is kinda embarrasing. my car is a 94 gt with 85,000 miles. thanks guys

It's the weather.

Just kidding. I've got a friend with a convertible 95 GT that does the same thing -- his is blue smoke under hard acceleration, I'm guessing rings... only happens when he's at wide open throttle. He also goes through oil like it's going out of style (try a quart every couple hundred miles). And he's only got about 80k miles as well. You guys got lemons... or it's just the air here in Portland...

Well, first off check the oil dipstick. mine was loose, and under hard acceleration oil would spash out and get under the header gasket and it would come out the tail pipes.

A good possibility is the lower intake gasket or maybe the HG, but we will hope its not the HG.

Maybe the head gasket is just weakened enough where it only leaks under high loads (aka: full throttle)?????

well i got a chance to get under my car tonight and found that im in need of a new oil pan gasket! AGAIN!! guess i should have done it right the first time? lol. my car also has been going through oil. but i found my problem. the whole bottom of the car is covered with it. anyways, could this be where my smoke is coming from, maybe oil from the pan is hittin the h pipe?
