Went to carb, if I have msd 6al can I use tfi dizzy with carb?

The title says it all. Is it possible by pulling the spout and have timing locked out?

Nope. You need a carbed dizzy. Even if it were to work the spout connector would only work (or not work) if the computer was attached to it. Make sense?

get an 85 duraspark dizzy from a mustang and then get the connector from msd to hook to it.

I ran my old combo just like that...You can rewire it pretty easy, if you need some help, PM me...

Like you said, your timing will be locked out

One thing i forgot to add is that the computer is still in the car. So actually the dizzy is still hooked up to the dizzy. I'm not taking all of the wires out of this car in case I ever do want to go back to efi or sell the car. I just unplugged the salt and pepper shaker harnesses and left everything else in the car. This will work right. All my lights and everything work, so if it's getting fuel, spark, and air it will run? Right?

Yeah. I do know for sure that you can leave all the old junk in. It wont hurt anything. You will probably need to remove the computer and find a way to make the fuel pump operate without the computer. You will also have to regulate down the fuel pressure.

302efi- I would very much like to know how to use the efi distributor. It would have made my life a lot easier a while back.
