And I put down 274 HP and 320 TQ....does that sound right for my mods (in Sig)? I thought it would at least put down 300. My A/F was 13:1. I'm really not very happy with it right now. Oh yea, and this was on a Dyno Dynamics dyno. Anybody know anything about them, like if they read high or low or anything like that? Thanks for the input.

If that dyno's numbers are equivalents of a dyno jet, they are a bit low. If they are like a mustang dyno, they are about right.

How much timing did you run? I bet that "Edelbrock cam" is nothing more than a rebadged E cam. Take it to the track and see what the real story tells.

those are pretty good numbers, just wondering I see that you have a typhoon intake, did you have it ported? Because since it was forgien made it needs extra porting because there is alot of flash. I know that wont make a huge difference, but that could be a problem. What are the cam specs on your cam? Oh and take it to the track!

what are the specs on that cam buddy - that is important - we can't really help you w/o specs - did you get the exhaust side of the heads ported? that's supposed to help alot - i didn't on mine, but i was hoping for more HP than that as well - i'd be pretty dissapointed too - but they are def good numbers, but you probably feel like all that money spent n you didn't meet your goal -

Was it dyno TUNED or just dynoed? Did you mess w/ timing, fp or anything? It could be a little retarded holding it back a little, or way too advanced causing the same effect - def get track numbers for us asap cuz i'd love to know what you'll run -

CAM SPECS PLEASE!

Are you using autolite 3724 spark plugs. If not then there is your problem.

I dynoed 283 and changed the plugs on the 3rd pull because my shop told me the stock replacement plugs dont stick into the combustion chambers, so i broke 300 rwhp with just a plug change.

It was just dynoed, not tuned. Heads are out of the box and the intake was just gone around some with a dremel to make it look a little better. I have 24 lb. injectors and a walbro 255 pump. As far as the cam, it is the same specs as the E-cam( .498/.498 Lift and 282/282 duration, 110 lobe separation). Also, I completely forgot to bump up my timing. Its been so hot here and gas has been so high that I've had it at like 10-12. NOw that its cooler I should have bumped up to like 16. HOw much you think I would gain doing that? I'm using Autolite 3924 Spark plugs. Thanks guys.

w/ those spark plugs if he's right, and the timing set right, you'll probably break even on 300 - good luck man - bump the timing, and put those plugs in n get it dynoed again, i wanna know now lol post results!!

Also, if I should use the 3724's....what should they be gapped at?

3924's are the right plug for your heads, since your running N/A i would try gapping at 50 , The numbers do seem right if that dyno is the equal to a mustang dyno.

TIME OUT EVERYBODY.

You said Dyno Dynamics dyno. We have one about 15-20 miles from me. They read LOWER than Mustang dyno's. You have nothing to worry about.
They are super-accurate.

The track will not tell the real story. The dyno will let you know the power your putting out. The track has to many variables to contend with...

Sounds (with that kind of dyno) that you are right on. bump the timing and get the correct spark plug gap for the 3924's if you don't already.

Good Luck!

I don't think the numbers sound that low..though I would have expected 280. Ideal settings for mine seem to be 40Psi fuel and 14deg timing. Though my cam is a little more radical and heads worked I'd still be surprised to see a 300 at the wheels. It's not an intake issue...IMO your numbers are accurate for Eddy heads and Ecam, more aggressive cam and AFR heads usually net you the 300-310 mark.

Those numbers don't seem too bad to me. Though I would expect more hp too. Torque looks real good though. How far to a Dyno Jet dyno?
