I thought they all needed to be welded in even bolting up to the seats; welded on the ends? yes that's why i just commented to Aero that I thought they all needed to be welded on the endsI was gonna say, the main expense is the installation (unless you can weld yourself). The actual subframes themselves are the cheap part.

coolThere are bolt-ons made and available, but it's highly recommended to have them welded.
Appreciate the insight coupe. Yeah I'll see if the seller replies as to some specs on themBolt in units will eventually work loose due to the nature of how they install. They use clamping force to keep them where they are supposed to be and pretty much no matter what you do the stock subframe will deform and allow the bolts to work loose. The harder you are on the car the quicker it can happen.
I was referring to having to weld them in. This is the only way I would ever put a set in. I don’t know where you got “welding the ends”. The rest of my comment was basically you do you now that the information has been provided to you. Something is better than nothing but it’s curious how all the recognized Mustang suppliers of the rectangular units all run 0.083” wall thickness. SVE has some good things but IMO their SF connectors are not one of them when there are better options that don’t cost much more.
That is an understatement.I think the bottom line here is that subframe connectors are just a lousy place to try and save a buck.
Why my 83 has not progressed forward... I was going to try to do it myself on my 12" Race Ramps... Too old, Too fat I guess.... Looking for a place to take mine to have it done....I literally just went through this. Did the MM full length weld in SFC’s plus labor for welding them in… not a cheap endeavor.
my son has a '21 charger scat pack and that car is heavy. He ordered a nice set of race ramps I forgot who makes them but were between 300-500 bucks. They work well and it seems safer to me than jack stands. Still wish I had a tall ceiling and a lift....my son has a '21 charger scat pack and that car is heavy.
