This is so sad, spent the last 2 days trying to get my AutoMeter Air/Fuel Ratio Gauge working.
I set the ground, dash lighting, and ignition. The purple wire (to sensor) is to short to make it to the PCM in the pass. kickpanel so I added another wire to the end of it to make it reach. (Same type of wire I used on my other gauges and it works with them.)
Ok this is the PITA part.. I found the left and right O2 wires (gray/light blue, red/black right below the PCM). I first tryed the gray/lightblue, took the wire cover out and hooked up the long-a-ed purple wire to it. Hook everything back up and turned the key.
Nada...does same with red/black wire.
Heres the werid part. When I d/c the wire to the sensor and turn on the car the gauge would blink 1 red bar on the rich side when its turning over. Then I placed the purple wire back on the sensor and watched the gauge. When the car turns over the gauge will go full cycle and blink all the bars.
So its got some kind of power, but after it turns over it will just go totaly off. Checked ground etc. Lights work.
I know alot for a "simple" gauge install. Its a PITA cuz everytime I have to retry something I have to take out the PCM bolt which has given me a few cuts
Thanks alot. N00b in need of help.
