I had been steadily losing interest in The Walking Dead. I finally lost any remaining interest with the most recent season’s six year time jump. Nothing happening in that episode makes any sense if it’s been six years.

B5 was one of the first, if not THE first Sci-Fi series to have an actual 5-year story arc, and they got to do the whole thing!
It didn't help any that the networks kept bouncing it around the schedule and waiting until the last minute to tell them they were approved for the next season...

I love sci-fi TV shows.

Even crappy sci-fi TV shows.

All of Star Trek except Discovery, The Orville, Seven Days, Farscape, Seaquest DSV, Sliders, you name it...

Except Babylon 5 and Andromeda. I tried to get into those, I really did. I actually even liked one of the episodes of Babylon 5 I watched, but the rest of what I watched, on the whole, was... meh. I even get the irony of giving up on it all of four or five episodes in after suggesting to new DS9 viewers on the fence after the first few episodes to give it until the 2nd season before giving up on it... but I just couldn't. Andromeda lost me one episode in, and Babylon 5 was either four or five, I can't remember, I just remember either the second or third episode being much better than the rest (the one with the people that stole and stored other species' souls), but then it was right back to being the same.

This was an amazing show that never saw its potential.

Every time I saw this show I think to myself: "Damn... Whiskers would have been invaluable against well, [every body]. Star Trek def missed the boat on Whiskers.

To be fair, the first season of B5 was kind of meh... Season 2 is noticeably better, then things really take off in Season 3!
There are things set up in Season 1 that carry through all the way to the end in Season 5, though, so the payoff is worth it, IMO!

I lost interest toward the end. I'm not certain what changed.

Claudia Christian (Cmdr. Ivanova) left at the end of Season 4, so that might have bee it. Tracy Scoggins did okay as the new commander, but it took a few episodes for her character to catch up. The Psi War story line was a bit different as well.

I just took a chance because I thought my wife would enjoy it. The possibility exists that I might too, I suppose.

I really liked the first movie. I hope the new one doesn't end up looking like some ty millennial after school special sprinkled with examples of [toxic masculinity] in order to make some poorly thought out liberal talking point.

That aside, I have no expectations.

I don't actually know.

It's purely a sexual attraction. I have to look up the spelling of her name every time.

If I ever came face to face with her, I probably couldn't get my foot out of the way of my mouth.

I'd stammer out something senseless (much like I do around here) and wander off to find the bathroom before I trip over an oxygen molecule or something.

Hell, I've been quarantined since I broke my thumb at the beginning of February and can't go back to work until the doc releases me. I've been on a Star Trek kick so I'm 6 seasons into Next Generation and I watched all of Picard during the free month of CBS all access. Just started back on Ozark and I'm halfway finished with season 3. Other than painting the house that my wife had a whim to do, just been sittin around bakin' breads and gettin fat and sassy...oh and making deliveries via one of thise gig apps. Gotta make mod money somehow.

Check out the trek fan Podcasts Outpost and Excelsior. Darker Projects’ Section 31 is probably best downloaded from their site, and there are several Dr. Who audio dramas worth looking up. If I need to run somewhere or am in the garage, I like not needing a screen to continue the story.
Levar Burton Reads is Geordi doing Reading Rainbow for adults.
Old Time Radio has series like Dimension X and X Minus One that were well done and are still relevant and enjoyable.

Did you miss Avery Brooks as Hawk in Spenser For Hire? I was waiting for the character transformation to someone that even Klingons did not want to mess with.
In the pilot, not even a Q could have gotten away with talking to JLP the way Sisco did.
