I got done all my work below in signature, she's running to hot for my taste, 220 with a 180 thermostat, and it's only 38 degrees outside... I am broke!! And need to do this with as little money as possible, I was going to try a flex fan.. for a total of $60.00 with adapter,, what do you guys think?? thank you, tony

How old is your radiator? A lot of times flow will be drastically reduced in them because of scale/solids that accumulate in the cores. A lean fuel condition can cause your engine to run hotter too; if that was the case your spark plugs should be white and the electrodes should be kind of messed up.
Have your radiator chem-cleaned, and flush your engine block. It certainly won't hurt even if it doesn't totally correct the problem.

Yea i would check the basics do a coolant flush put some nice new coolant it her yea get the fan it will help and help your horsepower too a bit. if you want a cheap upgrade thou try using some stuff made my red line it's called water wetter super coolant it's like 8 bucks and it's supposed to cool your engine by 20 degree is u do a 50/50mix

Are ya still using your stock fan clutch? If so, try checking it...it should be very hard to turn. Mine was running fine until I changed the fan belt at a friends house. The car overheated on the way home. For some reason the clutch gave up the ghost when I relieved the belt tension on it...go figure.

blk92, the clutch is junk, I looked at it an hour ago, I'm going to put my 160 t stat back in and get a flex fan tommorrow.. I will get a new rad and electric fan some day, it also may be running lean as slim jim said,, hard to look at my pms and drive at the same time.....I will be getting it tuned soon... I just took it out for a 20 minute drive to break it in ...

If airflow across the radiator is the problem due to the fan clutch being bad, a lower temp t'stat won't help. Also, often when the clutches go bad, they tend to lock up and not freewheel at lower temps as they're designed to. The symptom to look for is that it makes a bunch of fan noise at higher rpm/warmer temps. For the clutch to work properly it should allow the fan to freewheel (not completely) at lower temps; it should lock up at higher temps. If it failed by locking up (hard to turn when cold), you'd have plenty of cooling air at low speeds. So, are you sure the clutch is the issue? Is the serpentine routed correctly to turn the reverse rotation water pump the way it should? Is the t'stat in the right way? I don't think I saw the answer - is the radiator stock/original?

$40 Bosch water pump from pep boys
$150 3-core radiator from autozone
$6 180 t-stat
$25 SN95 junkyard fan
$7 bottle of water wetter

Average temp is 183 (on my autometer mech temp gauge) and i have never seen it go over 190 degrees on 100 degree days while idling in traffic.
