what brake pads?

i need new pads and dont want a set of cheep o's that leave dust on my rims. was thinking about some hawk or green stuff but who else make a good pad?

i have hawk pads, and they have diffrent kinds, for street, race, etc. and they don't live dust on my rims.

could you tell a difference from the stock type pads and the hawk pads?

Softer pads will grip a little better, and they do wear faster, but are easier on rotors. Usually a good ceramic pad will not leave as much noticable dust on the wheels. Organic leaves the most dust, while metalic leaves the least, most pads are a mixture.

hawk. summit now has em, and they are cheaper than NAPA premium pads.............shoulda coulda, woulda (i bought the napas, like an idiot...got 10k on em, and they are trashed)

I had green stuff pads on my car before....they leave tons of dust, the plus side to the ebc pad is the dust is very easy to clean off and they needed almost no warmup time. I did get sick of all the dust though and now have the hawk pads, they do require a little more heat before they seem to work their best but i think it's a good trade off....less dust that it. Braking performance overall is very similar, much more effective than stock. Oh, i forgot to add the ebc pads are also much easier on your rotors than normal metalic pads.

I use Apex kevlarmetallic pads. I have them in the front on my Cobra brakes, and they seem to work pretty well. They don't dust that much, either. www.apexbrake.com or eBay seller 'cbrakemaster' They're cheap too.
