im trying to find outwhich of two cams i should use.i have a 95 cobra cam and a e-303. i saw a thread on corral .net that said asking for trouble w/aod-e-303 setup. my combo consists of stock 90 shortblock poted e-7s cobra upper and lower 70 mm t/b, c@l 76mm m/a with down pipe, aod w/transgo shift kit, and 4.10s.normal 2.5 inch exhaust mods. worst of all its in a 90 convertible gt. any help would be appreciated as im sening it to the shop next week.really would like to know why e-303 doesnt work well with aod.

Generally the problem with cam selection with an AOD comes down to how it will affect the engines interaction with the torque converter. I have a TFS stage 1 in my 93 and have no real issues. I am getting ready to throw a 3000 rpm stall converter and will so how it does with that.

Your set up is not that different from mine & I run an E cam in mine with no problems what so ever. The E cam works perfectly fine on an AOD car.
