what came with a 7.5 with 4.10's?

I am hitting up the J/Y in a couple days and am making a list. was it an aero star that cam with the 4.10's in a 7.5? if so what year?

and I am going to grab a roller cam there. what else should I grab from the head?

I searched for the 4.10 thing. and i figured as long as I made a thread i would ask. if you dont want to answer dont worry I will search.

Early 90s Aerostars I believe. I know you cant count the teeth on the ring and pinion and diveide one into the other and figure it out but I dont recall.

I thought there were some Rangers that came with 4.10's also....maybe not

Aerostars , yes, also they came with trac/loc's depending on the code on the door tag...do a search you will find all you ever need to know. (i believe i read that here, maybe it was turboford.org)

I'm going from memory (which I shouldn't do), but I believe the axle codes on the door tag for Ranger/Aerostar are:
84 3.45
86 3.73
87 4.10
These three codes are open diffy, 7.5" axle.

Not all roller cams are the same; there was a redesign starting in '95. You'll want the 89-94 Ranger or 91-93 Stang version, and avoid the post-95 Ranger version if possible. The post-95 Ranger followers operate on a thinner valve stem and are stamped, not cast.
