What cams should I look into?

Originally I wanted to get a custom cam, then one of the Anderson B cams but yesterday my freind said hte B cams are bad for turbos, and I plan to be swapping to a turbo real soon. What cam(off the shelf) should I get? For now Ill have a supercharged, heads/intake/full exhaust car with the stock bottom end, and soon it will be turboed. The car is a daily driver.

For a turbo, unless you're going to get a custom (custom does not include Anderson's or other companies pre-ground cams), your best bet is the stock cam.

A turbo car likes a reverse split pattern, meaning the intake side has more lobe area than the exhaust. 99% of aftermarket cams do not have that, and most have too much of an exhaust bias for even an N/A car.

I say keep the stocker unless you're going custom...

Not sure who said the B cams were bad for Turbo. I run the B-21 cam in mine but its NA. I was designed for forced induction applications and had 218 intake duration and 226 on the exhaust. It has 112 degrees of separation to help maintain decent vaccumm. I did bump my idle up to 750 rpm to improve idle while its hot, but that's pretty minor. If you change your mind, I'll be selling it soon, need more duration for a 347.

I've seen some say they have used F cams with turbos.

I really do have to agree with the rest of the guys about the stock cam.

The turbo makes so much power and the stock cam will behave so much better. I'd bet you can make block splitting power with the stocker cam when talking about turbo boost, lol.

When you get up here to Tampa, give Chad @ Blue Oval Corral a call, they have a hookup with Ronnie Crawford to get custom cams. Me and Wytstang both know Chad personally and I'd recommend that route :nice:

I cant decide what to do now. Im thinking maybe jsut get a cam for the blower and when I do go turbo Ill just swap the cam as well. I probaly wont be going turbo for like 5 months anyways. Whatcha think?
That makes no sense to buy a cam for one application than 5 months (or more or less) buy another. Sounds like you have $$ burning a hole in your pocket or friends egging you on about a cam and it's affecting your judgement. Save your money for the custom when you go turbo.
