yeah i was going to run an electric fan, but no where do they plug into the eec on a mustang. so i'm guessing you can't without getting a separate computer for the fan.

The most common fans to use are the Taurus/Sable fan, SN95 mustang fan, and the big daddy Lincoln Mark VIII fan. My car makes a bunch of heat and my $20 Sable fan is doing a great job of keeping the car cool.

For the computer you will want to go with a www.DCControl.com unit. They are hands down the best way to use an electric fan that is available. It works far better than any switch or relay that you can buy.

Lincoln Mark 8 is the best junkyard fan. I did have a link to a really nice install with diagrams and everything you need a while back. I will try to find it this weekend.

I have a MK VIII fan sitting in my basement awaiting install. It's huge, and it has a built in shroud, as do most electric fans. This fan supposedly cools better than the stocker. All I care is that it does the job and frees up some power from the fan belt. The DCC controller is the best one, that's what I'll be using when the time comes.

T-bird fan is essentially the same as the Mark VIII fan too. I have one in my car and the shroud fits the radiotor very well, but you have to trim the depth of the shroud back about a 1/2" or more to clear the pump pulley.

You'll need a temperature relay : http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=DER-16759

Another good fan install page : http://www.fordmuscle.com/archives/2003/02/electricfan/index.shtml
