OK, I know no one can decide this for me, and that it is purley up to me...but I am looking for opinions.
My first thought was Midnight blue with a metal fleck.
Then I was thinking about Vintage Burgundy.

Favorite out of these two?

Or do you have any other suggestions, I usually prefer a darker color but give me some ideas people!
Thanks

I'm having the same problem. My 66 coupe is due to go to the body man in a couple of weeks, and I haven't decided 100% what color I'm going with.
The car is originally Sauterne gold. I have been leaning towards the original color with either gloss black, or satin black or ghost shelby stripes... or no stripes at all.
The other color that has really caught my eye is the Metalic reddish maroon color of the Old Spice racecar that Tony Stewart drives is the Nationwide series (used to be Busch series.) I would either go no stripes, or gloss or satin black shelbys.
My car has the black standard interior, so it would go with any of the stated paint schemes.

I saw a 66 fastback that was vintage burgandy with ghost shelby stripes, and it was SWEEET.

Hee hee...

Indiian Fire!

(from an old thread! - But, consider Burnt Orange. Done right, and with the right color accents, unique and dazzling...)

Yea I like that color, however a kid at my school has a burnt orange '80 firebird.

my two choices were the sonic blue, and the burnt orange that is on the dodge daytona trucks... i then saw a 65, just like mine, at fun ford weekend at norwalk painted burnt orange. while it was a super nice car,the color just didnt do anything for me...
