don't forget to change that oil. i don't think i have seen green oil on the top of pistons before (lol). be very bad to not change it after all that coolant gets into it.

Looks like someone forgot to drain the coolant from the block. LOL! Looks like mine right know, only mine has a garbage bag over it. I'm waiting for my isky cams piston notching tools to come in.

why are you waiting for a piston notcher?
or is it another car possible a 85 or 86 that you tore down?

I am putting Edelbrock RPM's with 2.02 valves in it. My exhaust valve clears with .1402" . But, stock notches with the bigger valve don't mix. I only have .036" of clearance in the middle and I'm hitting off the edges of the eyebrows. Pretty standard I think unless their valve angle is changed from stock. IE: twisted wedge, canfield and so on! I needed to remove some weight with the supercharger going on. So I had to move to aluminum. Next year it will be a forged bottom rebuild (unlike my last short block that only had forged piston.RIP!) and then a good K member?A arms/ coil over setup. Should help me drop a couple of tenths.
