Thats what i am looking for - i figured a new motor w/ gt 40 heads and b 303 cam and new crank shaft and roller rockers would do the trick - what kind of power do you think i would be looking at w/ the 2100 dollar 302 block, it says 320 horse, but what does that mean?? 320 w/ all of thier components, or 320 w/ all of my components, lol i want the air conditioning, and i want the heater, and i want it to be my daily driver, but like white heat said, i want it to be there for me to stomp on it - i figured this set up would be ideal -

Didnt you say you had a strong running motor? If so i dont see any reason to get a new engine. I would just get a h/c/i combo and be set.
but if you want the new engine approach...your going to pay for all this stuff to get done to your engine? All you need to pay for is to have the block machined. .030" over and check for a flat deck and your good. If you want to go the extra step have your rods and crank race prepped and balanced. From there it will be easy to assemble it all together. get 306 pistons, a new intake, heads, cam, pushrods, lifters, rockers, TB, MAF, injectors (if you wish to upgrade), bearings, and gaskets and your set. Everything else you can put the stockers back on. This way its like getting a brand new engine and a learning experience.

All the above costs more than the price of the new motor - I would love to do what you posted, but this isnt going to happen because of money - the crate motor is cheaper than a set of heads and cam and intake ALONE - and i already have the intake for it -
