What degree thermostat is everyone using

First I switched to 180 than 160 than again 180, looks like bith are same , just 160 keep motor little bit colder

I am going to try that summit radiator I read about on this forum I just hope installingl it wont be that big of a deal. Does anyone have an electric fan. Are they worth the money?

180* mr gasket stat, pep boys 3 core rad, sn95 electric fan on high only (i use a switch and have full control of it). Car runs too cold. last night with the fan on at idle for 5 min, it cooled down to 155*. I try to keep it around 180*, but while driving down an open road, its usually below 180*. Gonna swap stats after the summer. I'm gonna use a ford 180* stat that I have in the garage, it runs a lil warmer than the mr gasket 180* stat..

someone told me it was bad to change your thermostat from the OEM one(195 i believe) they told me it could mess up the engine because it was designed to run at that temperature and it could cause bad spark and mess up your computer. that is what i heard i dont know how true it is.

180* stat, fluidyne radiator, modified fan settings with the tweecer. my tem needle doesnt go farther than 1/3 of the way up anymore.

I run a 180* stat, water wetter, and my t-stat also has 2 small holes drilled in it to prevent an air lock in the cooling system when filling it.

How wide are those little holes
BTW I just wanna make sure about T-stat installation, spring have to be in lower intake (or toward engine )not toward radiator Correct

I Just changed mine to 180 because the gauge inside the car wouldnt leave the cold side,even after changing that it still does it, anyone know what i could do to fix the gauge?
