I only have two cats. I've always run aftermarket 2-cat h/x-pipes without issue.i thought the long tube headers wont fit the upper cats?

It came with the usual "not legal for sale in CA." but I was running the BBK catted x-pipe on my last inspection (before that it was the catted H-pipe). A cheaper option would be to have some cats welded in at a local shop but you definitely need the smog/egr tube as well.oh dang, and how you hook up the egr valve on those?

so these that fit the long tube headers will be street legal?
i have a bbk intake and doesnt that egr tube go from exhaust to intake? It came with the usual "not legal for sale in CA." but I was running the BBK catted x-pipe on my last inspection (before that it was the catted H-pipe). yeah, there is a spot for the air tube on the short h-pipe w/cats look at the pic in this link

I'm sure that's one of the first things they check for. I don't see them looking the other way on that because without it you clearly don't have a properly functioning system.also do i need to buy a smog pump or what? i dont think it has one
the two main tubes or pipes attach to the smog pump, you said your car didnt have one so it is diffficult to see what i mean but there should be some rubber hoses on the passenger side coming from a belt driven pump that is below the alternator.one of the these hoses attach to the air diverter tube, it goes to the pipe sticking out of the cats on the h-pipe, the other goes to a pipe that is attached to the back of both of the stock heads.
do you have any of the smog stuff? yes=good no=trip to local junkyard or no=make it a racecar
