I have an 88 Mustang Gt w/ 3.73s, full msd ignition(6al box ), gt 40 heads and intakes, a World T-5, a stage one trick flow cam at 499/510 lift. I have not tested the car at the track and everyone thinks that 12's are out of the question and that I have to upgrade more ?

smog or no smog??

My bro and I both ran identical combos to you..literally.

he had a best of 8.7 in the eigth..not really knowing how to drive...he probably could have shaved a little more off of that.

my trak lok was busted..so I could never get anything better than a 9.9 at the eigth, which is a 15.0, lol.

his 8.7 is a solid mid 13 second car.

I've heard of people with your combo doing 12's. It takes a lot of body lightening, no smog, slicks, and knowing how to drive the piss out of your car.

is it possible?? HEll yea. it would be a lot EASIER though to just push a 75 shot of nitrous through it. the guys who squeeze 12's out of their gt40 combos are typically the drag strip warrior types. I didn't have enough time for that.

No smog and has drag radials also. Sorry forgot to mention it. I have a world class t-5 thats has proven so far very durable. I have raced camaros in the past and I consider my self a very good driver. This is not the fastest car I will have taken to the track

I ran a 13.42 at 100mph 1.88 60ft with 3.73s, gutted hatch, nitto drags, stock suspension, full offroad exhaust minus the headers, stock longblock, c&l Maf, pro50 shifter. So yes you can do 12s...i think its been proven before
