I have a 95 gt all stock right now. I am thinking about getting the following parts. Do you guys think this is a good combination or should I go with something different. Is there anything I am missing?

Trick flow street heat heads
Trick flow street heat intake
BBK 70mm Throttle Body
BBK equal lenght short headers
24# FMS injectors
BBK adj. fuel pressure regulator
255lph fuel pump (not sure about brand yet)
80mm Pro-M mass air flow sensor
3.55 or 3.73 gears

Thanks for looking, Adam

It looks good. If you keep the 3.55 gear, you can't run too much cam. If you are using the stocker, put a set of 1.72 rocker on it.

What are your current mods? Just making sure you aren't forgetting anything...

I haven't done anything yet, I was going to keep the stock cam. I have read that some people cars won't idle right after they install a cam (94-95).

he is all stock, according to his original post.

what is the connection between the cam and the rear end gear ratio?

i have heard the same thing. apparently the 94/95 computer doesn't adjust to cam changes as well as the other computers ...

Joes right (thats twice now Joe haha) The tiny 355's wont be able to get into the powerband quick enough and with aftermarket cams(and heads/intake), they shift the powerband up. You'll need more gear to get into the powerband quicker. You'll alsdo be crossing the traps way too low with a 355 which will hurt et and mph.

Combo looks good, but i'd do more gear and longtubes.

From experience, so much tiresome experience, the ECUs will become the biggest pain in your arse with an aftermarket cam. Not only that, they will push you to the edges of insanity and keep you there in the dark for weeks at time while you're starved to death, watching some old person knit something that's not really there. Can you tell I'm working on mine?

If you decide to go this route, I strongly suggest a chip or a Tweccer.

I called SVT and requested the original certificate and for free, they mailed it out with a letter and certificate of seal. I'm pretty sure it's just for SVTs, but I could be wrong. Give `em a call and at least ask:

thanks!

back on topic, 3.73s are a good compromise. imo, 4.10s are too "short" for daily driving.

The only thing I don't really like is the 75mm MAF. The 80mm Pro M units are much better IMO and well worth the extra money. The car will be much more driveable and idle better with the better 80mm unit.

Mike, it is pretty scary . As long as we stay away from the TFS head debate, we may be OK.

Troy, I've often thought that the 75mm Pro-M just wasn't worth it. But I've never spoken up because I don't have any factual proof behind my reasoning.

I have used both (well, the 75mm, 77mm and 80mm units) and I'd say that the the 75mm bullet meters are just not worth waisting money on. They are slightly better than the C&L 73mm meters but that's about it. The better 77 & 80 mm units have always been much smoother and easier to tune for me.

in 5th gear, with 285/35/18's and 3.73s, 75 mph is about 2437 rpms.
with 3.55s, it is about 2319 rpms.

Sounds good, but I would go with lower gears, probably 3.73's!

I'd go with longtubes and a 65mm throttle body.

stick a trick flow stage one cam, add longtubes and put in some 373's to wake up the lower powerband in that cam and expect to see about 315 or so RWHP EASILY with a 5spd.

but with a trick flow stage one cam, its pretty lopey, you will experience computer problems unless you dyno tune it properly by a good tuner.

or you can dump $300 and get a A9L adapter kit from PRO-M and the car will run like a champ.

we just did this to a car and we got her dynoed today, very impressive power.

Might have to get a Dart block but don't want to and if I do, then 363 instead of 331. Thoughts on what I've already bought so far.......
