Yeah, right! Look at that thing - it would never make the trip back to your house before the dash harness burst into flames

But, it could possibly limp across the Colorado River to a small desert town in Arizona....

Of course, after the great "406-powered F100" debacle of my earlier years; bringing another FE into the family would probably result in the Missus going after me

I actually do like the way it looks now. But only if it runs real strong.

And those slotted mags are bad-ass.

haha thanks for the replies. whats dp90? is that the paint code for diamond blue? i cant wait to get it going. we are gonna start cleaning the sheet outta it. go through the motor, get it running nicer, get some wheels and tires that actually fit the car, lower it, do the interior all black, then paint and sell it. kinda sad to let this one go. its so hard to find a body this nice for a decent price. but we have a 69 fastback thats in need of building and selling too but is way further off than this one. this will be our money to finish the 69. then after the 69 goes i get my trans am coupe . ill keep the thread updated with our progress.

DP90 is Ditzler's primer/sealer in black. I guess you could say it's satin black, I've seen guys shoot clear over it before with some flattener added.

Is it an original S code car? That rear valance is a GT valance and the quarters are the early '68 quarters and it had rocker trim on it. The brake pedal indicates factory front disc, the bright trim around the truck and extension lip is missing but the holes are there. It's got the wrong radiator, but the spots on the fender mounting lip that are normally rotted holes in front and behind the shock towers aren't there. Turn signal hood, it might be an original GTA coupe.

I wish it were mine...

haha well, the car was bought by the previous owner 10 years ago in pieces, he put it all together and kept it in his garage, starting it up once every 2 days. its a c code car(289 2bbl) with an auto, but the 390 and c6 fill it out nicely now. previous owner put the gt hood on, and the 1/4 panel end caps were parts he bought off other cars. im still shocked i found a car in this good of condition. i had a little fun with some semigloss black the other day ill post pics later
