not your transmission, they would only affect your rear-end.. but if your rearend were to fail and the gears were a factor, they would label your rearend voided from your warranty, thats it though..

You dont want to get gears for fear of voiding your rear end warrenty, but putting a chip in will void the entire warrenty unless you know someone at a dealership . Go with the gears man, 3.73's or 4.10's

tim charges 300 for it i think..so yea i'd save it till you got gears, bigger wheels, stuff like that..
