oh yeah, my setup. fms ceramic coated stainless shorties, 2 1/2 bbk catted h pipe, and american thunder 2 chamber flows, it sounds wicked. specially driving by sound barriers, under over passes, or when someone else drives the car. it drones a lil but its nothing unbearable. it jus sounds like a wicked 5.0. ive heard the slp, and magnaflow magnapack and they sound like total ****e.

Why changing the Bullitts?

not sure really, I prob wont change them just because im so broke right now. I think Im going to go with an xpipe and see how i like that. With the head swap, right at 1800 whitch is where im cruising the DRONE IS INSANE, it feels like im cruising at 4000rpm in 2nd gear. I love the sound, I love how loud it is. I love driving around cars with the "listen to my car" attitude, but sometimes when Im cruising by myself, enjoying the ride, I wish I had a mute button.

IMO flowmasters are over rated.you are just buying the name. they don't flow as good as you might think compared to others. i have a set of force proseries mufflers. they look like flowmasters and sound awsome. not too loud but definately noticable at idle and when i rev it, the cars sounds like a bobcat roar or some kind of cat like that. it's mean sounding on acceleration and cruising is not bad at all. i can't hear them much, no drone. i have long tube headers and O/R x pipe with 3 inch tails. best thing is they only cost 35 bucks each from summit racing.

You've gotta start participating on the boards more often! You just missed the Fall cruise in. We won't have another official meeting untill the Spring, which is usually kick ass because everyone brings out their new winter projects.

so true, did you possibly grow up in my family without my knowing? every lil movement i made jus driving the car my mom used to scream and grab the doors and stuff. my dad would always tell me i dont use good technique on stuff. a lot of the stuff he taught me is true though. dont rest your foot on the clutch, release it quickly, dont use excessive force putting it into gear etc. he apparently is right being as that my jeep has the original clutch with 115 k on it and no signs of slippage.

same her with the permit thing. My mom cracked the dash in my buick once cause she put her foot up like there was a brake on the dash, even tho I stopped smoothly and was easily 50 yrds back, to prove to my mom it was a fine stop!

a nother thing everyone is leaving out is the mid pipe.....
h-pipe, x-pipe, scavenger pipe, and pro-chamber....
imo the mid pipe makes sound diff along with muffs...
i have a bbk equal lenghts, 2.5 Mac pro-chamber and 40's flows with 3" dumps......and with the pro-chamber the sound is real deep and throaty....i had a h-pipe on it before and the exhaust was little raspy....i love the sound i got now.....i think this winter i might put a cobra rear with 3" tails...

i run dynomax race bullets! they were DIRT CHEAP! 70$ for a pair brand new on summit and SOUND NICE!
at first i sort of was mixed about the sound. but over time it grew on me. my mustang has a totally diff sound from the rest in my area and i love the sound. real loud and sounds good.

i am running bbk shorties and an h pipe with my bullets and my car has a great sound

See a lot of you guys prefer the h pipe but i cant stand it. I put on a bassani o/r x and ****in love it. It has a chamber inside of it that makes the tone "roll" instead of a h which makes (to me) a "choppy shound"

I like most Mustang exhausts...

The SLPs are an aquired taste. The kid I know has BBK LTS, BBK o/r X and SLPs dumped. car is INSANELY loud and I do like it, but to me it does sound kid of dumptruckish.

Ill get my set up set and my car on the road and decide if I keep the Spintechs or lose them!

oh yeah RASPY FTW!

i have "super turbos" on mine. they sound really good, but they're a little quiet for my liking. i havent read all the posts but even though flows are over rated, they do deliver a great sound no matter what other exaust components you have.

Magnaflows which are on the relatively quiet side.Just don't believe that they are stainless steel. The pipes looked like crap after 18 months.
