What do you think about my times at the track?

Same et I had first time to the track. I missed 3rd gear on my first run, ran a 14.7. By the end of that night I got it down to a 14.3. Out of 5 runs, I missed 3rd twice! The next day I installed a Steeda Triax, haven't missed a gear since, that was a year ago.
My stock shifter didn't spring load to center like the the Steeda, had to hunt for 3rd....

About average. I ran a 15.0 my first time out... hahaha...

dead on for a street car with no suspension mods, you could trim another .1 or so practicing your launches...welcome to the 1/4 mile mod frenzy....DR's LCA's yada yada yada

That's a pretty good time for a car that's pretty much stock. I doubt the CAI and mufflers really helped you any. Maybe as much as the reduced drag co-effecient thanks to that short antenna.

What was your 60ft?

Sounds right to me. With a 60 like that you have plenty more left in it if you practice those launches.

Don't go all the way to redline, shift at 5500 into 2nd. Wait a bit longer to shift into 3rd. Worked for me and i ran a 13.8@101 with x-pipe and catback on heavy ass chrome 18's. My 60' sucksed (2.2), so i know this car is capable of alot more which surprises me since its just got exhaust mods.
With better springs (H&R's), new tires, and my new MGW shifter, im shooting for 13.6's with no other power mods other than the exhaust.

Those times were corrected per LACR.NET instructions...

Altitude Correction
LACR is 2,710 ft. above sea level.
To figure the altitude factor the formula is as follows:
ET: multiply your et (at LACR) by .97
MPH: multiply your mph (at LACR) by 1.03
This will give you the ET & MPH at sea level.

Ok, so you didn't actually run a 14.3? You ran a 14.8? Don't correct the numbers, just go with what the timeslip says. Or did the timeslip say 14.3?

Hey Bluegtstang, you gonna be at LACR tonight (9/29)?

Sounds decent. My first time down the quarter I ran a 14.8 but forgot to take off traction control. Mods were LT's, o/r H, flowmasters, JLT intake and MGW shifter. Eventually got it down to a 14.14 with a 2.1 60ft. Just practice I guess. Went to the track last week and my launches sucked balls.

I posted only uncorrected times on here because I live at sea level but to be fair to somebody that lives in high altitude I think those people should post corrected times, just for the simple reason that I hate reading somebody in utah running a 15 in his stock gt and some dip**** posting " dude you suck gt's run 14.0 stock"

bottom line is corrected times are fair game because how else can you compare cars from different parts of the country hell you can't even compare your own runs if you don't correct them.

but about this guys times. from what I read in the time correction he needs to work on his launch. a 2.3 60 foot is killing him, the trap of 97 corrected is low too.. this could be because of slow shifting. bottom line is I think he needs to practice, sorry I am not trying to be a jerk I am just being honest. Plus don't feel bad my first time out I went a best of 14.3 corrected 14.5 uncorrected. I took my lunps that night learned a few lessons and went back the following week and ran a stock 13.903 uncorrected at 99 mph. corrected that run was a 13.8 run at 101 only mod I had was weld in flows.

These are the things I changed when I went back.

1. forget trying to kill the light. **** the light just get comfortable and launch when you want to launch, the R/T does not help your times at all. after you get good then worry about the tree.

2. practice launching, find a place to practice and do a bunch of 0-30 runs. thats what I did and my 60 droped from 2.3-2.4 to 2.0-2.1 on crappy street tires.

3. powershift, practice it untill you can do it without any fear at all. You are not going to break your tranny with stock power. I had maybe thousands of powershifts on my t-45 and with almost 80k on it the thing was just fine, still ripped 2nd,3rd and sometimes 4th if I was beating the bag out of it. If you don't feel comfortable powershifting 2-3 then atleast do 1-2 and 3-4 ( if you have gears) if you have the stock 3.27's you should still be in 3rd when you hit the traps.
