the 03+ cobra wing is the only wing i would replace the stock one with, but it only looks GREAT with the 03+ cobra bumper (especially if you fill in the cobra letters so that you aren't misrepresenting your car). Nickthegenius has it done.
I love the wing. But I am partial to it. I am not a big wing guy. I removed
mine off of my 2000 GT. Unless you have a Saleen or a body kit I think the
wing ads nothing to a mustang. My 2000 Gt wing cut the shape of the car
and when I took it off the lines really flowed nicely. The 99-2000 wing was
in a bad spot on the trunk anyway. Not back far enough.
i was thinking of doing the exact thing: get the cobra wing, and get the cobra bumper but i didnt want to be a poser, i hadnt thought about being able to fill the letters in. where do you get the rear bumper anyways?
Although I have the Saleen wing, this will give you an idea of what the '03 Cobra bumper looks like filled. It gives the rear a nice clean, smooth look. Make sure if you have it done, the body shop needs to rough up the area around the letters and use bumper repair compound and not regular body filler. The bumper repair stuff will flex, whereas the regular body filler will not and will crack around the letters.
Damn that looks awesome, I never thought of doing that with the bumper. How much did just the body work cost? I love the 03 cobra spoilers. Hopefully Ill be able to find a used one for sale (Ive been looking forever).

To be honest, I'm not sure what just the cost of the rear bumper was. I paid $1200 to get the hood, bumpers, and spoiler prepped and painted. Probably wouldn't have been that much if it wasn't for Saleens top-notch quality control
