So cal
94-95 or 87-93...The platrom is a 11's street car. What would be better, In your opinion? I like both fox and 94-95, They both have the pros and cons....For me
I like the 94-95's, 4 wheel dics, abs, new age styling, driver/passanger airbags, more updated saftey. and better interior.....As for foxes I like, the muscle car feel, Foxs gt's are sexy, there lighter, more options to work with, better computers, and such....its to hard to decide i like both so much, what would you choose for a daily drive 11's car. To get 11's, on both 94-95 and FOX would be H/c/i and blowe with support mods. Which would you choose?

The thing for me is.. if i'm going for a new body style, i'll just say F it and buy a 4v cobra.. 96-98.. few mods and there in the 12s.

5.0s are plainly old school, will always be muscle car motors. A friend of ours with a 95 gt.. longtubes 5spd.. bunches of bolt ons.. gears. It's nice but if im going to have a pushrod motor, i'll be damned if it isnt going to be in a real muscle car

I've had both, so I'll offer my view. I think the Fox is a better platform if you're looking for downright performance in the 1/4 mile. You nailed it on them being lighter, but it's only a couple hundred pounds between the Fox GT and an SN95 GT. As far as the computers being better, well, the Fox one will more readily lend itself to mods, but if you're talking about tuning it, I'd go for the SN95 anyday. Newer, faster processor that's more sensitive to input from the sensors, so you should be able to fine tune the combo a little better. I like the SN, and I've had mine for 8 years, but I'd love to pick up another Fox. If you can have one of each, you have the best of both worlds.

Fox = platform to build a speed demon
SN95 = comfortable, fairly solid daily driver that can also be made fast

You can do all the same performance mods to either, so it all comes down to taste.

Ok lets try too keep this clean. For some reason people like to fight over this.
With that said I like both. It's what ever you like.

my friend recently bought a 95 gt and we both gained a new appreciation for then SN cars, sure they are heavier and whatnot, but for a street car its more than made up for in the overall comfort of the car.

tigher body, hardly any creaks, better/ more comfy interior, drives smoother, and some things that were small PITA things were sort of redone on the SN cars.

for serious performance, a fox is best, but for a nice street car that has some balls a SN can do that well

fox

I vote fox.

- My 88 LX, kinda slow but really fun to drive. Very solid feel, only mod was pulleys. Low end torque was fun around town. Had a bad heater core and some rust, always smelled like coolant but lots of great memories in that car. Paid $2400 with 70,000 miles on it. Traded it in for the 99 GT.

- My 99 GT, pretty fast but lots of plastic. Catback and CAI only. I absolutely HATED the sound the car made when you closed the door. Sounded like the plastic door interior was taped onto the door or something. Way to cheap out Ford. :notnice: Cheap interior overall. Inside door handles felt like you could rip them off if you pulled hard enough. Paid $10,000 with 65,000 miles on it. Sold the car to buy a house.

- My 99 Cobra, no low end torque at all but an animal up top. Needed 410 or 430 gears BAD. Car wasn't even fun until like 4K + RPMS. My most heavily modded car, full intake, exhaust, dyno tune, suspension and midpipe. Expensive to buy and to mod, but handled great. SAME CHEAP INTERIOR FEEL, HATED THE SOUND THE DOOR MADE WHEN YOU CLOSED IT. A DULL THUD. Inside door handles felt like you could tear them off. CHEAP INTERIOR. Paid $15,000 with 36,000 miles on it. Sold when my son was born to pay bills.

- My 87 LX, nice metal on metal postive click sound when closing the doors. Not a speed demon, but the 20 year old 302 is tired and ready for a rebuild. Driving this car reminds me what a muscle car should feel/sound like. No frills just muscle. Best looking of the body styles IMHO. All go, no show. The suspension is tired and will get a refresh this winter. Next winter the motor will be rebuilt. Paid $5000 with 89,000 miles on it. I will never sell this car. :nice:

I couldnt agree more about the doors, My brother has a 95 gt, and I had a 89' LX, when I closed my doors felt like a real car, metal on metal, muscle. as for the 95gt a plastic type clunk, cheap sound....To describe on make a choice on what to get Its lke one half my hearts loves the FOX, the other half of my heart likes 95's, I cant pick one from the other, I will die. I feel Id have to run a half pound more boost or so to make a 95 equal to a fox, if both had exact same mods, to make up for the 120lbs difference...I rember my brothers 95 stopped and handled alot better than my fox, and well Ive had 2 foxs so far, I think im going to get a 94-95 and switch it up, Plus the girls like the look of 94-95s over foxes.
