What do you think of my custom grille? (pics)

Well, not to many negatives so I guess I was on the right track. I don't think you could make a grille that would please everyone. I like the fact that it's unique and that's the reason for not centering the cobra.

OK, here's the how to so you can get your creative juices flowing.

Went to this site (http://www.customcargrills.com) and started by ordering the sample pack. The finished product used "Stacking Oval XXL Mesh" and (5 ft.) Neoprene Rubber Edge Trim.

PIC 1
Make a posterboard template of the opening. Place the mesh over the template, holding it very still and use wire cutters to cut the mesh along the template.

PIC 2
...is the cut out mesh bent at 90 degrees. I bent it over my work bench right where you see it. You can also see the neoprene bead that goes along the edge when you're finished. Paint it or not, your choice. It looked pretty cool left as aluminium color but on a silver car, that's to much silver. The bead has a slit in it. I put a small dab of black silicone in the groove where it met the mesh.

PIC 3 and 4
...are how to attach it. This turned out to be really simple and easy. Remove the front plastic retainers on the radiator cover and slide it under, then put the 2 plastic retainers back in. The cobra badge is held on with black silicone. Just globbed it on the back.

Would love to see pics of your finished products.
