There is no point in paying money to achieve the exact same look you currently have, just to achieve a more permanent stripe.

Oh I don't think so...you can not compare vinyl to paint...its like night and day!

It may be, but you cannot tell the difference unless you run your hand over the stripe. I think it is a waste of money to pay for the exact same look you currently have.

What are the benefits?

longevity, quality, ease of care all come to mind. with painted stripes, you dont have to detail around the stripes to get the wax off. these are just the basics.

You are all correct, but my original point was that I don't believe those minimal benefits justify the expense.

What would it cost a shop to paint a Foose stripe anyway?

There are benefits of opting to go with vinyl over paint. Having it be removable is the biggest benefit I can think of. Want to change things in the future... vinyl comes off. Yet it is extremely durable.
