I have always thought the pre-99 Cobra snake grill emblem was a bit small, so I tried the GT500 snake as well. What do you guys think? If the pics don't load you can view them in my gallery at....

I value your opinions and would like to know which one to mount permanently (they are both duct taped in the photos).

I would stick with the stock emblem. The GT500 emblem is to big in my opinion.. The grill on the 99's aren't open enough... just my 2cents

you got any pics from say 10-15 feet away, it does look to big in those pics. I think if i saw it from a ways away it could look pretty cool.

I like it! The GT500 one looks good, I have been thinking of getting a cobra for my grill as well, where did you order it?

Uncle Meat, I can't see mounting a cane handle on my pride and joy.

NotA5oh, I am making this myself. I bought L & R emblems from CJ Pony Parts and will mount it on the bracket my smaller snake came off of. There is a place online somewhere that is selling these pre-made for 100.00. If you already have a bracket, you can get TWO snakes for less than that, and sell the other.

98 Saleen Cobra, I thought it may be too big as well. Thats why I am looking to you all for opinions. If they made a snake between the two, that would be perfect. Overall, the GT500 looks decent IMHO.

Just a little too big IMO. It's a little disproportionate in size compared to the grill opening.

Its got the bling bling factor, i dont think it looks horrible and if i had one laying around i would put it on. Not somethin i cant live with out on my cobra.

The concensus seems be mixed.

My gut feeling told me the GT500 might be too big. My desire for a more noticable grill emblem may be clouding my judgement, so I tossed it out to you guys for opinions.
My poll on mymustangsite.com is mostly "I like them both" with a few "GT500 is the best". Here it seems to be reversed.
Since my first impression was not 100% positive, I will probably put my small cobra back on and see what the future holds. The GT500 snake is 4-1/2" tall, and the orginial is 2-3/4". If I could find one about 3-1/4" I think that would be the perfect size for the 99-04 grill area.

I like the larger one, but IMO a running horse looks the best of anything in the grill.

In my opinion, buy the snake on ebay for the $20 rather than the GT500. I think the snakes on the front fenders and grill on my dad's GT500 look goofy.
