I got a .028 shim on the pinion.
.09.15 to .010 back lash
I really don’t want to take it apart again if I don’t have too . Do you think it will wear more to the center? Is it worst being to tight or loose ?

One day in the future take a new rear pinion bearing and 2 new case bearings and make dummy bearings out of them
Or just buy dummy bearings for an 8.8
If you do a few or a lot of them it sure makes it easy to make a shim change before installing the new bearings
