what doch motor will work

does the fwd 4.6 doch fit a rear wheel drive mustang
im looking at lincoln motors for my 97 cobra need to put it back together i just sold my 99 cobra vert and mis it already don't realy want to drive my honda or the bmw

im not apposed to a 5.4 if its a bolt in and can be done cheap

No the FWD Lincoln motor will not work. Different mounts.

Why not look into a Mark VIII engine is you're just trying to get it going. Its the same engine across the board as the '96-'98 Cobra save for the crank shaft and intake components. Transfer your intake manifold over to the Mark engine and you're good to go.
