What does it take?

Okay, I'm looking into the future and by looking at my signature, and besides a blower, haha, do I have the right setup if I'm looking to run low 11s?

There is so much research and so many opinions from so many different people, I thought I might turn the question over to you. I'm not looking to have a book thrown at me, just an overall suggestion of things I might want to consider. I understand the suspension/hookup has a lot to do with it, however, I'm more concerned about the initial power setup and not so much transfer of power......at this point.

I'm not worried about the street legality, it's not a daily driver anyway.

Thanks.

Low 11's is going to require alot more than you have now. You should be able to crack 12's with the setup you have now on slicks. What route do you want to take....brute N/A power, turbo, supercharger?

first off, get rid of those 19lbers. get some 42s, and a recalibrate the mass air. you need to get more fuel/air through that engine. your off to a good start. i don't think your gonna make the 11s N/A with that combo. you need to get either a power adder, or more displacement. i would suggest getting a 347 stroker kit, upgrading the mass air and injectors, and then getting a more radical cam. the E-cam is pretty mild.

Firstly, that's very sound advice from both of you...

Ultimately I would have to say brute horsepower. However, I'm thinking that would require more or less replacing everything I currently have. Needlesstosay, I've thought about it anyway.

In my research, it seems supercharging is the fastest way to reach such desired numbers. If I can combine the best of both worlds, that is, brute horsepower and supercharging, well then, :hail2: .

Whatcha think?

Turbo! Get some 42# injectors, 80mm PRO-M MAF, 255 hi-pressure fuel pump with another inline pump and a different cam (even the stocker will be better with a turbo). Get a nice intake manifold too, like a Track Heat.
