i enjoy the the power i got from my set up so far. i have not been dynoed yet, but i do know the car was slow as hell stock. i slowed it down even more with the 275 tires on the car. after adding the plenum, tb, cai, x pipe and catback, it offset the tire size completely and the car is much faster.

i do agree that the rwhp is prob. only around 25-30, but it is a nice jolt that puts you ahead of some other gts. remember that this is hp to the wheels so its not to bad.

is it worth what i paid? not to many , but it is to me. im doing heads next. that will run me around 2,500 bucks for 25 to the wheels. thats even worse but im still going to do it. it really is a waste of money but after the heads, i could say the car will get up and move for a street car. and ill be a step ahead of bolt on gts

ok, well, i have about $1,500 in the bank right now that i am going to spend on parts. so far all that i have is the flows, K&N filter, and the off road x-pipe. what would be the best way to spend the 1500? i will be getting a better job soon, so more money will be comming in. but as of now, what should i do? mucho thanks

Get some VT stage II cams and 4.10 gears installed. You'll get close to 300 rwhp and tq.

Friend of mine put cams in his and it pulls like a freight train. Hard and will put in close to 12's at the strip.

so what would you suggest, other then a forced induction system, though twin turbos would be nice
remember that a tri-ax or pro 5.0 shifter, 3.73's, headers, and maybe a diablosport tuner are on the horizon. oh and of course a radar scanner
thanks

My first mod was BBK longtube headers, BBK offroadX, and Magnaflow catback.

I dyno'd 232/272 to the ground (HP/TQ SAE) stock, and 255/292 after the exhaust. Pullies netted me 6/6 and my 75mm Accufab TB and Accufab Plenum pushed the total to 272/310. That's about 310 Crankshaft HP and almost 365 Crankshaft TQ.

Not bad for a "bolt on GT".

If I were to stay N/A, I would have gone gears next. I wouldn't do cams because my car is a daily driver, and with cams I have been told that it would never pass emissions (I have to have it inspected yearly in Texas), so I went with the Kenne Bell supercharger.

The good thing is that I already had the Accufab 75, which did not hurt performance while NA one bit. Since you might "grow into" the engine later, you might as well go with the 75mm.

I was under the impression that stage 1 and 2 cams would both pass emissions fine...

well if i am not going to pass emissions with cams, then im not going to get them. i dont want to have to change the cams every 2 years. i am OK with getting pullys, tb/plenum, and the usu. bolt on stuff, but what would be the best for $1500? i dont want to get 4.10's but good idea, i am going with 3.73's. i still dont understand why everyone says that the tb/plenum wont add very much hp for the price, when the charts show on avarge of 10hp increase.... but then again am an ameture when it comes to newer cars.

You are halfway to getting a supercharger. I would just save the money and get a blower.

Probably the best way to estimate power gain with bolt-on's is to take the advertised gain and divide by 2.

If you keep your cats, cams won't be emissions issue. Consider that the 4.6 in the GT also goes in Crown Vic's and the cam flattens out at 5k or so. Gears and cams would make your car pull hard to 5800-6000.

Me, I'm going to call my dealer and trade my 04 in on a 05 GT. Watched to 05 Mustang race car development on the Discovery channel tonight and it looked good.

ok, i just got done installing my o/r x-pipe, so i dont have any cats. should i just go with a set of good cams, headers, gears, pullys and a shifter for right now? when i have to do smog testing, i was planning on re-installing my factory pipe anyways, so i will have cats. man, good thing i asked before buying :worship:

Nice #'s pretty similar to mine.

I have the 75mm TB/Plenum upgrade. If your talking peak #'s it was a waste of money on my car. If your talking about gains throughout the powerband, you will want this piece. The Accufab combo was my final mod to date. My previous best dyno was 266.7 and 300.5, after install peak #'s only went to 269.7 and 305.1. It was only when we superimposed the new graph on top of my last dyno did I see the real "gains" from this piece. Between 2500-4750rpms I picked up over 15hp and 20lb/ft of torque. It was a quick decline in gains from 4750-~6000. Overall I could definately feel a HUGE improvement sotp wise from all the gains down low, but if peak #'s are what your after, you will probably be disappointed for what you spend.
