Want to buy this car (see thread for pics and info). What else would it need to get to 500rwhp? I have three early classic ponies (302 Boss, 351 Boss, 65 GT fastback), this vert might be my new late model ride so I am not technically informed on the mods for this kind of car.

Have the blower ported and add an off road mid-pipe, along with a new tune and you're there. I'm surprised it's not making slightly more than it currently is already?

Ported blower would get there but I would suggest the kenne bell or whipple.

I'm only taking a guess here, but I think he wanted to do it without tacking an additional $6,000.00 to the price tag.

If this is a Ford dealer make sure he give it to you in writing they will honor the warranty with those mods. If it is not a Ford dealer, forget about any warranty.

Secondly, I don't care how sweet it felt, the price is not just a little high, but quite high. And like Gearbanger said, that is low numbers for the mods already on the car.

I felt it was a bit high at $28K for the car even at 4k miles. One more thing, I noticed the car would lag when driven hard. When hooking up at a shift, the car felt as though a second later the supercharger would kick in. The dealer told me that he felt it was the throttle blade sticking or maybe needed a better tune. Does this make sense?

Yeah, it makes sense......but thats all the more reason that the price should be lower still. $28k and it's still not even running right!?!

the lag is in the tune. needs a retune. if you get it take a look at Runnin' with the Devil or Horsepower by Hermann. They are the best 2 SCT tuners for the Terminator in the Country!!!

The price is high. The mods done to it dont justify the higher cost considering its used with 4k on it. All of those mods are relativly cheap. Now if it had a KB or a whipple on it, then i would consider that price.

isn't that an anniversary edition? Being a vert. also drives the price up.

dude, mike murrillo tuned it. i would definetly go for it. hes one of the best its prob. just a really conservative tune the original owner had it tuned to.

is that over at Jordan Ford?? if so, post this on www.lonestarstangs.com someone may be able to get you a deal on it there

NO its not at Jordan Ford. I spoke to the original owner and he said the tune is very conservative. When I fully press the gas pedal gauge boost pegs hard to the right at over the 10psi stock gauge limit (of course it drops between shifts). Is that how much a 2.8 pulley should be producing?

FYI, the bottom line price is now at $28.5K..

2.80 pulley is usually good for around 14psi give or take a pound depending on how extensive the other intake and exhaust mods are.
