What front engine brackets can I use????

This is a little O/T but I figured I'd ask. I am looking at building a 28-31 Roadster ford, and would like to keep it ford bodied and powered. I love the 5.0, and was thinking of using one.

The only thing is, I want to keep the motor looking more like a 60's era engine appearance wise. So, What I need to know is, are the 5.0 engines going to be compatible with older 302 alt bracket, etc?

you will need the 289/302 timing cover along with the brackets. The 5.0 and 302 from years gone by are the same block/head wise.

Cool. I have a line on some 68 Mustang 302 brackets etc. Is there any problem with keeping the stock 5.0 water (pump rotation wise).

You have to use the "old" water pump - the 5.0 pump is reverse rotation (serpintine belt) and you need a standard rotation pump (v-belt) to work with what you want to do
